South Scotland MSP Colin Smyth was one of two local politicians to be “grilled” by Kyle Academy students on their trip to the Scottish Parliament today (13 December). The class of S2 Modern Studies pupils were visiting the Parliament as part of their course on democracy. The visit organised by the Scottish Parliament’s Education Service.

Colin Smyth said, “It was great to see Kyle Academy pupils visit the Scottish Parliament. They got a tour of the building and then we had a question and answer session where they fired some tough questions at John Scott and I about our work as members of the Scottish Parliament. They clearly had a great knowledge about the Scottish Parliament and were a real credit to the school.”
