The on-going saga of policing charges for local events in the South of Scotland is stepping up its campaign for fairer charges.

Both ITV and BBC covered the talks between myself, Dumfries and Galloway Council, local event organisers and Police Scotland as we tried to discuss how best to reduce the costs of policing.

Earlier this  year police Scotland raised the costs of policing some events in the area by a massive 400%. You can read some of the coverage below.
