Since parliament broke up for the summer recess, I have been out and about, throughout the South of Scotland, meeting with local people and taking part in local events.

I visited the newly opened Gateway to Galloway Information centre in Stranraer, took part in the launch of the UK’s first ever rural electric bin lorries in Dumfries with Councillor John Martin, and it was fantastic to see the community in Gretna hold a Gala with a difference where I got to judge the home scarecrow and garden party competitions with Councillor Archie Dryburgh. The work continues throughout the summer recess including the fight to save local post office services across the region.

As restrictions continue to be lifted, I’m keen to get out and about further across our region. If you would like me to visit your area, or get behind a local campaign or issue that matters to you, please get in touch. In the meantime, you can find out what more I’ve been doing in the video below.
