Midlothian and the Borders really matter to me.

I’m passionate about our South Scotland region and want what’s best for people living here.

I stood for the Scottish Parliament in 2016 because I believed South Scotland was too often Scotland’s forgotten region and border communities were being left behind by the Government.

I was proud to be elected and since then I’ve worked hard to try to be a strong voice for Midlothian and the Borders, and all of South Scotland in the Scottish Parliament.

But I need your support to stand up for Midlothian and the Borders; and South Scotland at the next Scottish Parliament election.

Voting is underway to select Labour’s regional list candidates for the South of Scotland- and I’m asking you to use your FIRST preference votes to re-select me.

I’ve been humbled by the support I’ve received right across Midlothian and the Borders.

Time is short until the next election. My commitment is to campaign side by side with you to build our party’s support in Midlothian and the Borders, not just at this election- but beyond.

I will fight to ensure that the next Parliament is a COVID recovery Parliament- not one distracted by another divisive referendum. We need a Parliament that prioritises a jobs plan for Midlothian and the Borders, including improving and extending the Borders Railway, fixing our education system, real action on the environment, investment in our NHS and social care and puts an end to council cuts and the centralisation of services.

With your support- your FIRST preference votes- I’m determined to ensure Labour wins in Midlothian and the Borders and across South Scotland.
